About The Course

What BDS actually is

BDS is a 4-year academic programme plus a 1-year compulsory rotating internship, regulated by the Dental Council of India. You cover oral anatomy, oral pathology, conservative dentistry, orthodontics and oral & maxillofacial surgery.

Seats are allotted through the same NEET UG counselling as MBBS โ€” many candidates keep BDS in government colleges just below MBBS in their choice lists, since it secures a clinical doctor title at a much friendlier rank.
