- Partial withdrawal allowed

Each state conducts its own counselling for state quota seats in medical, engineering, and other colleges.

Counselling FAQs
Common questions about the counselling process
A: Centralized counselling is conducted by bodies like JoSAA, MCC, and state authorities where students fill choices online and seats are allotted based on rank and preference.
A: Usually 4-5 rounds including special rounds. JoSAA conducts 6 rounds, MCC conducts 4 rounds including mop-up and stray vacancy rounds.
A: Yes, you can participate in both. However, if you accept a seat in one, you may need to surrender it before joining through the other.
A: Class 10 & 12 marksheets, scorecard, category certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, ID proof, passport-size photos, and medical fitness certificate.
