🏥 MCC — Medical Counselling

For NEET UG & PG candidates. Covers 15% AIQ, Deemed Universities, Central Universities, ESIC, AFMC, AIIMS & JIPMER seats.

⚙️ JoSAA — Engineering Counselling

For JEE Main & Advanced qualifiers. Covers IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs.

  • 6 rounds of seat allotment
  • Online choice filling & locking
  • Seat acceptance fee: ₹35,000-75,000
  • Partial withdrawal allowed

📋 State Counselling

Each state conducts its own counselling for state quota seats in medical, engineering, and other colleges.

  • Based on NEET/JEE + state domicile
  • 85% state quota seats
  • Separate registration required
  • Multiple rounds conducted

Counselling FAQs

Common questions about the counselling process

A: Centralized counselling is conducted by bodies like JoSAA, MCC, and state authorities where students fill choices online and seats are allotted based on rank and preference.

A: Usually 4-5 rounds including special rounds. JoSAA conducts 6 rounds, MCC conducts 4 rounds including mop-up and stray vacancy rounds.

A: Yes, you can participate in both. However, if you accept a seat in one, you may need to surrender it before joining through the other.

A: Class 10 & 12 marksheets, scorecard, category certificate (if applicable), domicile certificate, ID proof, passport-size photos, and medical fitness certificate.

A: Registration fees are non-refundable (₹1,000-5,000). Security deposits (₹25,000-2,00,000) are refundable if you exit in permitted rounds.
